Specialist Disability Accomodation (SDA)

SDA refers to housing designed specifically for individuals with extreme functional impairments or very high support needs. These accommodations provide tailored features, such as improved accessibility, reinforced structures, and customized facilities, to enable residents to live more independently and comfortably. SDA is often part of Australia's National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which helps fund housing for people with disabilities. The design and support services in these homes are created to suit specific physical and medical needs, enhancing both safety and quality of life for residents.
